Why Yorkshire homes beat ordinary Wi-Fi
The stone our houses are built from is the problem — and the pride. Victorian terraces in Saltaire, weavers' cottages in Haworth, stone semis in Ilkley and Otley: walls a foot thick that a single router in the hallway simply cannot penetrate. The answer is never a stronger router shouting louder from one spot; it is several quieter points placed around the walls — a mesh system or wired access points — so every room has a strong signal nearby. That is precisely what we design and install.
Newer builds have the opposite problem: foil-backed plasterboard that bounces signal around, and thirty devices — phones, doorbells, TVs, consoles, thermostats — fighting for one channel. Different cause, same result, same fix: a survey first, then the right kit in the right places.

- Install what is needed — mesh points or wired access points, positioned from the survey, not guesswork. You approve any kit cost before we order it.
- Test on your devices — we check every room on your own phone, laptop and telly, not ours, before we call it done.
Call-out including the first full hour — which covers the survey and most straightforward fixes. Any equipment is quoted and agreed before we order it, typically £80–£250 for a mesh system depending on the size of the house. Remote help from £45 if the problem might not need a visit.

Do I need a new broadband contract to fix my Wi-Fi?
Almost never. Slow Wi-Fi and dead spots are usually a coverage problem inside the house, not a broadband problem — the right mesh system or access point placement fixes it on the connection you already have. If your line genuinely is the issue, we will tell you straight.
What does a Wi-Fi installation visit involve?
We walk the house with proper signal tools, find exactly where and why the Wi-Fi dies, then fix it — repositioning the router, adding mesh points or a wired access point, and tidying the settings. Every room is tested on your own devices before we leave.
Can you fix Wi-Fi in old stone houses?
