Mick
Mick has been looking after computers, networks and the people who use them since 1998 — and started HomeTechGuys after watching his own family wrestle with a world that suddenly expected everyone to be good with technology.
Based in Bingley, he is happiest untangling a stubborn Wi-Fi problem or explaining, in plain English, what everyone else made sound complicated. Firm believer that no question is a daft question, and that the first hour should always be a full hour.
Josh
With ten years in IT, Josh will be a familiar face to plenty of households in Ilkley and along the valley from his years at Court Computers in Ilkley — the same patient, friendly approach, now brought to your door instead of over the counter.
He covers our Wharfedale patch — Ilkley, Otley, Guiseley, Burley and round about — and specialises in taking things at whatever pace suits you, writing the important bits down before he leaves.
How the two of us work
We turn up when we say we will. The £95 call-out includes the first full hour — and if the fix takes ten minutes, the rest of the hour is yours for questions and a once-over of anything else. Everything gets explained in plain English and written down. We never upsell, and if the honest answer is "don't spend the money", that is the answer you will get. That is the whole business plan, really.
